I'm Kari Crawford, who at heart is just a pink-haired fangirl from down the lane.

I'm 25 years old and currently based in Chicago, Illinois, where I graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

I grew up in a small town in Missouri where I taught myself illustration through mediums such as digital and tablet-based work to painting with acrylics and watercolors. I used SAIC's interdisciplinary program to hop around different departments, studying comics, illustration, painting, and fashion.

My childhood spent consuming video games, cartoons, and comic media has greatly influenced my style and work. I look up to companies such as Nintendo and Square Enix and comic artists like Bryan Lee O'Malley (Scott Pilgrim, Snotgirl) and Babs Tarr (Batgirl, Motor Crush).

When making my work, I focus on femininity and celebrating pop culture and geek culture through character design and illustration.
